Erm, ok
The problem with Brand

So I was playing Brand with a few friends yesterday. And it got me thinking about what’s good, and what’s not. Like, his passive is really good, the dot combined with Liandry’s or Rylai’s is really obnoxious, but at the same time, his mana costs are too high, his range is a little bit meh and his cc is unreliable. Let’s compare him to another AP mid, Lux. Lux has a skill shot snare, that snares 2 people, that’s far more reliable than Brands stun which requires the target to be hit by 2 abilities. Lux also has an AOE slow, that has insane range that also does good damage, and Brand is just stuck with his really short range. You may say that he has 4 damaging abilities to 3, but Lux has the shield for damage mitigation and its massive utility. Lux can do just as much damage as Brand if they both hit their full combo, not only that her damage is more reliable. I’ll admit Brand is probably better when you are getting ganked and you’ve got 2 champs in your face (just drop your payload and say goodbye). Brands problem is that he is a low utility, high damage caster, with unreliable damage. But, if you ever see a good Brand in solo queue, be prepared to cry, he will land his combo perfectly, leaving you wondering why people don’t play him more. (Should have just called this the problem with Lux and talked about her instead of Brand).
